Whitewater

White Water Activities

The club members organise Whitewater trips depending on rain and water levels.

A popular place for local members is below Wivenhoe dam where a regulated water supply provides some good practice rapids. Goolang Creek, near Grafton is another venue that is fed by a regulated water supply and can provide challenging paddling for a variety of skill levels.

Queensland Queening has a permanent set of slalom gates set up on the western end of Springfield Lakes so slalom training can be undertaken at any time. Then there are the river trips, which will require recent rain to get the rivers up to paddle able levels. These trips will be organised on a somewhat short time frame as soon as there is rain in the catchments area of a suitable river or creek.
